We want to give a thank you for all the support we’ve had since our big announcement. We’ve heard a lot of curiosity around the “why” so we wanted to fill in some of those wonders!
Ten years ago, over many countless coffee dates, Dan and Mark began brainstorming the idea of Roundhouse. Mark was a stay at home dad, Dan was newly retired and looking for his next project. Both had some basic home brewing experience and a desire for a small business that brought people together through their passion- BEER! So what started as a “retirement project” for Dan and a “passion project” for Mark, turned into something so much more — a community, a family, and a place where countless memories were made over great beer.

Throughout the years, Mark worked with countless organizations to help them facilitate their mission through fundraising, social gatherings and business meetings. That was all part of that vision; to provide a place to bring people together and help build community. Hosting events that raised awareness and funds for a specific cause always validated that Roundhouse had truly become what he envisioned.

Throughout the years, Dan has provided much of the business and financial knowledge to Roundhouse along with bringing his joyful presence- and self proclaimed “mediocre service” when helping behind the bar. He loved seeing customers happily enjoying their beers and dancing along to live music!

As the years passed, and Mark’s family has grown, his time and efforts have shifted to focus more on his family and helping the community in a wider variety of capacities. Roundhouse has provided him with connections and experience he is currently using serving on multiple boards and committees, as well as being part of a local investment group focused on bringing business and housing opportunities to the BLA and beyond.

Now, after a decade of brewing, laughing, hosting, and growing, Dan is ready to truly retire — this time for real! He will also be turning to more of a caregiver role in this next stage of life for his parents and wife.

Both want to share that they are endlessly grateful to their incredible team, loyal customers, and local community who made this journey unforgettable. Your support for Roundhouse turned a small dream into something special.

We raise a glass to every pint shared, every laugh echoed through the taproom, and every person who’s been part of our story.

We can’t thank this community enough for ten incredible years. You made this adventure unforgettable.

Come celebrate with us as we toast to Roundhouse’s memories throughout the years — details on our farewell bash coming soon!
